Sales pages don't have to be ugly

Raise your hand if you find yourself stuck in a cycle of low-paying projects. Is this you? If you are feeling called out, nobody, and I mean nobody wants to quit a 9-5 to live their dream life only to make pennies. The cost of gas and eggs is enough to make you cry. So you can agree that we all need to know how to find and sign higher-paying clients.

This is a really big struggle for a lot of people so I wanted to share some solid marketing/branding strategies that will elevate your business and help position you as a valuable asset in the eyes of your target audience.

If you find this remotely interesting, then keep reading.

How to get higher paying clients

1. Define Your Brand

To attract higher-paying clients, it’s crucial to have a strong and compelling brand. Define your unique selling point (USP) and communicate it clearly across all your marketing channels. Identify your target audience and tailor your messaging to resonate with their needs and desires. A well-defined brand will set you apart from the competition and attract clients who understand and appreciate the value you offer.

Take the time to set your core values and infuse that into your personal why and mission.

Use this template and fill in the blanks.

“It’s my mission to help/I help (my ideal client/target audience) to (what you do for them/a transformation) because (specific problem unique to the target audience) and I’m the best because (add a USP or what makes you unique)

Example:

“It’s my mission to help stay-at-home moms to and find a healthy balance between raising a family and running a profitable business because many mothers struggle with burnout & organizing their time efficiently while being present with their family. I’m the best at helping them because I have raised 3 kids while running multiple successful businesses.

2. Showcase Your Expertise & Authority

It’s always way more important to be viewed as an authority vs an expert. Why? Well, when you really think about it, an authority is a LEADER, and an expert is only a SMART PERSON.

Now, you might be thinking that you want to be both, and you do. However, just being known as “smart” isn’t going to be enough of an incentive for someone to pay you the big bucks. When you position yourself as the go-to AUTHORITY who has expertise you are way more likely to get higher paying clients. The key to being an authority in your niche is to have strategic confidence in yourself and how you show up to educate and serve.

You can do both by creating valuable content such as blog posts, articles, videos, or podcasts that educate and inspire your target audience. Share success stories and case studies that highlight the results you’ve achieved for your past clients. Establishing yourself as the go-to authority will instill confidence in potential high-paying clients and make them eager to work with you.

3. Level Up Your Website

Let’s visualize this, by picturing a nice (luxurious) house. When you enter a nice house there are a ton of things that you see and experience that make you think “Wow, this is a nice house” Maybe the architecture and the flow of the house are unique. Or every room is decorated perfectly. Or there are premium finishes & appliances used throughout the house. Most people would assume the owner is well off. You get the picture, right?

We’re going to apply that same idea to your website. Your website is your digital home(or digital real estate). When a new visitor comes to your site you want them to say “Wow, this is a nice site.” That first impression and opinion alone is enough to spark the idea that you provide a premium serviceGreat web design will catch their attention but compelling copy, and clear call-to-actions that direct visitors to contact you. Nobody ever trusts a janky, shady, hard-to-navigate and read website. (Do people still say janky? Well you get the point)

A well-designed website will make a lasting impression and draw high-paying clients to your doorstep. Ask yourself…” Would I hire myself, based on my current website?” if you answered no then it might be time to start looking for ways to update your site. Head over to our template shop where we have the most scroll-stopping website templates you will find for Showit. If you are on the fence about getting a completely custom site vs a website template then stay tuned I’ll be putting a resource together on that.

4. Nurture Your Relationships

Networking is not just about exchanging business cards, it’s about building meaningful relationships. Attend industry events, join professional associations, and connect with like-minded individuals who can potentially refer high-paying clients to you. Be proactive in reaching out, offering value, and nurturing those relationships over time. A strong network can open doors to lucrative opportunities and introductions to your ideal clients.

I can speak from experience because in addition to running Her Brand Market, I’m a wedding photographer and we have gotten many weddings from our network of other vendors in the wedding industry in our area. It’s a great way to find a get more clients so don’t sleep on building relationships. It can be a gold mine.

5. Targeted Marketing Campaigns

Invest time and resources in targeted marketing campaigns (organic & paid) to reach your ideal clients. Come up with a clear and realistic plan to market your services, don’t just make a wish and cross your fingers. Facebook will take all your money if you don’t have a plan. If you are going the organic route then you should identify the channels where your target audience hangs out and tailor your messaging/content to fit their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. When they read your content they should feel like you’re talking directly to them. You can also use search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to rank higher in search results and drive organic traffic to your website.

If you have the cash for running ads then why not use it on Google, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, or even Tiktok? Find the platforms where your dream clients hang out, because let’s face it, not all platforms are created equal. With the right marketing, you’ll attract those deep-pocketed clients who are actively looking for the services you offer.

6. Position Your Pricing Strategically

Don’t just settle for any old price tag, position your pricing to showcase the true value you bring to the table. Steer clear of lowballing your services, which might bring bargain hunters rather than valuable clients who appreciate top-notch quality.

Instead, focus on clearly communicating the benefits, outcomes, and return on investment (ROI) your clients can expect by working with you. Demonstrate the value you provide and be confident in charging premium rates that align with the results you deliver.

7. Refine Your Client Onboarding Process

Think of your onboarding process as a stay at an all-inclusive resort. From the moment your clients sign on the dotted line, they should be wined and dined. Be their personal concierge, anticipating their needs before they even realize they have them. Show them that you’ve thought of every tiny detail, and even have them wondering if you’ve secretly been studying their dreams at night. (it sounds creepy but it works) When you do that, they can’t help but become your biggest fan, spreading the word about the awesome experience they had working with you.

The Client Manager template in the HBM shop does just that. Its whole purpose and goal is to welcome and set expectations for your clients when they start and finish working with you. Check it out here

I know that was a ton of stuff and easier said than done, but is totally doable. Remember the clients that are willing to pay for your services are out there and people will spend a ton of money if you make their life simpler and solve a problem.
